About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Apply disciplinary knowledge, exercise critical thinking and analytical skills, demonstrate effective and professional communication skills, and work agilely in diverse contexts to solve real-world problems.
    2. Design and manage a self-directed project (or projects) that require independent inquiry and collaboration with others.
    3. Reflect critically on the skills and knowledge you have acquired through study and real-world experiences, and effectively communicate to others how these prepare you for the future of work.

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

  • MUR-BGS-DEG-2024 - Bachelor of Global Security (Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies)
  • MUR-ASD-DEG-2024 - Bachelor of Arts (Sustainable Development)
  • MUR-CDV-DEG-2024 - Bachelor of Arts (Community Development)
  • MUR-AID-DEG-2024 - Bachelor of Arts (International Aid and Development)

Others

Enrolment in a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Global Security.
Approval of ART325 unit coordinator or student's Academic Chair.

Additional requirements

  • Placement requirements - Students are required to organise their own workplace/employer for this internship undertaking.

Study load

0.125 EFTSL
This is in the range of 10 to 12 hours of study each week.
