The Graduate Diploma of Education (Inclusive Literacies) provides the opportunity for existing teachers, education practitioners or other professionals to upskill, enhance research ability and develop proficiency in specific areas of education theory and practice.
This course includes a solid foundation in the research of inclusion, leadership and social justice, empowering you to enact change in program, policy and project design.
Through investigating and analysing contemporary literacy practices this course prepares education professionals to focus on critical issues in literacy including diagnosis and intervention. Additionally students will explore how to address reading literacy in a culturally and linguistically diverse context. The course includes a solid foundation in the research of inclusion, leadership and social justice, providing knowledge and skills that empower you to enact change in program, policy and project design.
Course duration: 1 Year full time, 2 Years part-time.

- AQF Level 7 (Bachelor degree) or above from an Australia University; OR
- An equivalent overseas higher education qualification; OR
- Combination of formal (below AQF7) or non-formal qualifications and three yeas of relevant professional experience includes those who are currently working in education-related fields and teachers holding alternative qualifications.
