Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis need to satisfy one or more of the following criteria:

• Have completed a relevant Charles Sturt University intelligence short course, or an industry based course recognised by Charles Sturt University.
• Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in criminology, justice, or security studies.
• Be working as an intelligence practitioner in a law enforcement, national security, regulatory, or commercial agency.
• Demonstrate professional experience in one or more intelligence practitioner contexts (strategic, operational, or tactical intelligence).
• Satisfy the Course Director of other skills or professional qualifications that would make the candidate eligible for entrance into the course.

If you’ve studied before, you may be able to fast-track your postgraduate degree with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you’ve completed relevant tertiary study, you could be awarded credit for your postgraduate degree. Get in touch to see if you’re eligible for credit based on your previous qualifications or industry experience. The Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security is regularly liaising with a number of other law enforcement agencies to assess credit packages based on internal industry courses that allow articulation into the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, and Master of Intelligence Analysis. These credit and articulation arrangements are progressively being established and details of finalised packages are made available on the Charles Sturt University Credit Pathway Management system (CPM) as they are finalised.

Some online subjects include a compulsory or optional residential school. These are an opportunity to come on campus for between one and five days for face-to-face learning.

You'll meet your lecturers and classmates, put theory into practice in our facilities, and could take part in anything from exam prep workshops and guest speaker presentations, to lab work and research tutorials
