About this degree
Ideal for those who are new to finance, are career changers or who want to advance their knowledge in the field, the Graduate Certificate in Finance provides the technical competencies and analytical skills to apply financial theory and quantitative techniques within various financial scenarios. This will provide a solid foundation in finance to prepare students for more advanced study based on the CFA Institute Univeristy Recognition Body of Knowledge (our Master's degree) and/or to take on new challenges in the increasingly globalised and competitive financial sector. For those new to the industry who hold no prior experience, this will provide a solid starting foundation for a career in finance. This degree can also gain credit into the Master of Finance.

Award requirements
To be eligible for the award of Graduate Certificate in Finance (GCertFin), a student must acquire 40 credit points for the prescribed courses.

Entry requirements
Hold any Bachelor degree (or higher) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale).
Have a minimum of five years equivalent full-time professional work experience in a relevant field

have a combination of alternative admission criteria such as formal, informal and non-formal learning deemed to be equivalent to either of the above.English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English.
