Looking for a pathway to a Bachelor degree in business or tourism?
The one-year Diploma of Business gives you the opportunity to develop academic and business skills. In addition to core units, you may choose a specialisation in either business and enterprise or tourism.
Successful completion of the Diploma will guarantee you entry and up to eight units of credit towards the Southern Cross University Bachelor of Business and Enterprise.
The Diploma of Business is offered through SCU College, where we understand that learners have diverse experiences and ways of learning. The College connects you to your peers and supports your study success through additional workshops to assist you in developing academic and study skills.

Entry requirements
ATAR: 45 or equivalent.
If you're currently in Year 12, you can apply for our Early Offer program. You might qualify for an early offer based on your predicted ATAR and a recommendation from your school.
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this course are as follows:
- Overall Score: 5.5
- Reading: 5.0
- Writing: 5.5
- Listening: 5.0
- Speaking: 5.0.
Applicants or students that can provide supporting documents to verify they already know, understand and can perform the learning outcomes for one or more units within a Southern Cross course, are eligible to have their prior learning assessed for credit by submitting an application for Advanced Standing.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the Diploma of Business will be well-equipped to apply their skills in a variety of entry-level management positions, such as office manager or accounts manager, across a range of business areas, including accounting, finance, marketing and tourism.
Successful graduates of the Diploma of Business are guaranteed entry into, and up to eight units of credit towards the Bachelor of Business at Southern Cross University.
