About this degree
Graduates of the Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management will have: A broad and coherent body of knowledge that underpins theory, practice and professionalism within the field of business and management. In addition, they will have the specialist technical knowledge and skills required to work in a wide range of settings in the international tourism and hotel services industries.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business will have a broad and coherent body of knowledge that underpins theory, practice and professionalism within one of the disciplinary areas associated with the degree. In addition they will have specialist technical knowledge in at least one field of business and management studies.
With Griffith Business School's Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management/Bachelor of Business, you can multiply your career options. In as little as four years, you can graduate with two degrees and a unique skill set that will give you an edge in the employment market.
You can, for example, combine Human Resource Management with Hospitality Management to gain the skills needed to work in human resources in a high-end resort or consider merging skills in Innovation and Entrepreneurship with Tourism Management and start your own tourism business.

Award requirements
For the award of Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management/Bachelor of Business (BIntTourHoMgt/BBus), you must successfully complete 320 credit points, made up of the core courses AND
- 60 credit points for an International Tourism and Hotel Management major; AND
- 60 credit points for a Business major and 40 credit points of free-choice electives, OR
- 60 credit points for a Business major and 40 credit points for a Minor, OR
- 80 credit points for an extended Business major and 20 credit points of free-choice electives, OR
- 90 credit points for an Accounting (Extended) major and 10 credit points of free-choice elective.
This degree may be awarded with Distinction where a student achieves a minimum program GPA of 6.5 with no failed courses. The words 'This award was achieved with Distinction' will be recorded on the testamur.

The Griffith University's Undergraduate Programs Admission Policy will apply.
VET qualification: Certificate III
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
- A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0
- OR a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL
- OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
- OR no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
- OR a minimum overall score of 176 (no score less than 169) on C1 Advanced (formerly Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English) or C2 Proficiency (formerly Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English)
- OR an overall score of 58 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 50.
English test results must be no more than two years old.

International students who successfully complete the Direct Entry Program (DEP) will satisfy the English Language requirements for this Griffith degree.
The Direct Entry Program (DEP) is not available for Domestic students.

You will be well prepared for work in a range of international tourism and hotel management roles, including in hotel and resort groups and the accommodation sector. You could also find opportunities in independent restaurants and internationally recognised chains, with entertainment and leisure providers such as theme parks, with suppliers of goods and services to the hospitality industry, in airlines, and with local, state and federal tourism and regional planning authorities.
