About this degree

In this course, you will learn the foundations of health science, clinical assessment, and herbal and nutritional medicine therapeutics. As a naturopathic healthcare student, you will gain hands-on experience at our custom-built student-led clinic, The Practice Wellbeing Centre, consulting with members of the public under the guidance of experienced naturopaths. This will prepare you to confidently start practising in the community. Please note that some coursework must be completed face to face to meet industry requirements.

Course duration: Full-time: 4 year Part-time: approximately 8 years.
Recommended study pattern
The course structure is based on a standard duration of three trimesters per year, each of 12-weeks duration and offering 8 subjects per year. A normal full-time load will see a student undertaking 80 credit points or 8 subjects per year for 4 years. A year consists of three trimesters. Part-time students may typically take 8 years to complete the 320 credit points.Award requirements
To graduate from this course a student will need to successfully complete 32 subjects, each with a value of 10 credit points for a course total of 320 credit points.Open Universities Australia is a not-for-profit organisation. You will not pay any fees for using our services.

Study method requirements
During your degree, you'll undertake 460 hours Work-Integrated Learning at The Practice Wellbeing Centre and over 200 hours of compulsory class attendance.
Mandatory Residential School attendance will be required for the below subjects:

- PCS207A Pre-Clinical Studies 1
- PCS209A Pre-Clinical Studies 2.
