Construction management graduates work in a whole range of leadership roles in the construction industry including construction project management, contract management, quantity surveying, estimating, building surveying, building certification, facilities management, property development and WHS. They lead and coordinate physical building and infrastructure projects and can be site or office based.
The Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Hons) has a high level of professional recognition both in Australia and overseas. Our flexible delivery options make it easy for you to study by distance or work in the industry while completing your degree.
Recommended study pattern
In the Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours) program students are required to complete 320 units, which is comprised of:
- 270 units of core courses;
- 10 units of directed courses; and
- 40 units of elective courses.
No more than 120 units can be at 1000 level; and at least 40 units must be taken at each level from the 2000 level and above for this program.

An elective pathway gives students the opportunity to broaden their skills and knowledge in their own or another engineering discipline; or specialise in areas such as business, maths or science; or undertake study overseas.
