This subject was previously known as INFM130 Information Theory and Research.Research and evaluation are central to understanding a discipline and ensuring ongoing improvement in practice. In this subject students learn about research methods and the principles and strategies involved in evaluation of programs and services. Students will undertake a three-week practicum placement in which they engage directly with industry, drawing from their learning across the program.Please Note: If it’s your first time studying a Curtin University subject, you’ll need to complete their compulsory ‘Academic Integrity Program’. It only takes two hours to complete online and provides you with vital information about studying with Curtin University. Research and Evaluation

This subject was previously known as INFM110 Information Design. The organisation of information and knowledge is critical to ensuring its effective use and safe keeping. In this unit students will learn about knowledge organisation systems and metadata.
