8 undergraduate certificates that will help you get into a bachelor degree

Don’t meet the requirements for your dream course? These undergraduate certificates could be your ticket in.

It can be frustrating to have your heart set on a course but not quite meet the entry requirements. However! You may have more options than you think.

Undergraduate certificates are ideal if you’re keen to start studying in your field of choice right now. Introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, these introductory qualifications have low or no entry requirements, are only six months long, and include just four subjects. Once you finish, you can move straight into a related bachelor degree, with full credit for the study you’ve already completed.

They’re a great option if you didn’t quite get the results you wanted or don’t meet the bachelor degree entry requirements for some other reason.

Lots of undergraduate certificates are open for enrolment now. But don’t snooze—some close this week!

Are undergraduate certificates offered in 2025?

Yes! In great news for those looking to enrol in an undergraduate certificate, they have become a permanent part of Australia’s higher education offerings.

There was some confusion about whether they would still be available this year—but it has been confirmed that they will be. You can read more about that on our undergraduate certificates information page
