About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Describe the application of ethical and professional guidelines to the practice of pharmacy.
    2. Explain cultural responsiveness and apply the principles of culturally safe practice to pharmacy practice, including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.
    3. Describe the impact of the social determinants of health and health literacy on patient outcomes.
    4. Describe the role of the pharmacist within the Australian health care context.
