About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

    1. Apply knowledge of the contemporary principles, concepts, philosophy and purpose of Non Communicable Disease Prevention internationally.
    2. Analyse the major global NCD burden and identify risk factor and disease determinants.
    3. Critically evaluate the intervention options available for use in NCD prevention worldwide.
    4. Design multi-strategy interventions to prevent NCDs.
    5. Evaluate policy and other public health interventions targeting NCD prevention.
