About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:
- Analyse the drivers and challenges influencing the emergence and success of digital health
- Discuss digital health services, including strategic directions, from the perspective of different stakeholders
- Analyse changes in the consumer/health professional relationship relating to digital health
- Demonstrate an understanding of technical aspects of digital health applications and their related standards
- Module 1: Introduction to digital health
- Module 2: Frameworks and standards for digital health adoption
- Module 3: Digital health impact on service structures and relationships
- Module 4: Accessibility and usability of digital health systems
- Module 5: Planning, evaluating and implementing digital health projects
- Module 6: The future
Explores the changes occurring in the structure and delivery of health services as a result of the digital transformation that has occurred across the industry. The subject considers the impact of such technology on consumers, communities, health professionals and health services. The subject will explore the role of data, networks, wearables and other technologies in healthcare.

- Other requirements - Teaching Arrangement: 2 hr seminars every two weeks; independent learning approx 10 hrs/week
