About this subject
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- Design teaching sessions informed by contemporary pedagogical principles.
- Critically reflect on your learning and teaching journey and how this has shaped your approach to education.
- Develop a portfolio that integrates your application of learning, teaching, and assessment practices with your teaching philosophy.
- Module 1: Contemporary pedagogy/ andragogy
- Module 2: Developing professionally as a teacher
- Module 3: Collaging a Teaching and Assessment Portfolio
This subject will provide you with the opportunity to apply theories of teaching and learning in healthcare settings. Your knowledge and skills will be further developed through examining practical issues related to assessing learners as well as the provision of feedback to enhance performance. Your teaching knowledge and skills will be evidenced through lesson planning, the development of a teaching portfolio, and reflection on practice.
