• What you'll learn

  On completion of this subject students should be able to achieve the following learning outcomes:

  1. Generate and evaluate an inter-professional plan of care which supports the complex and unique characteristics of the client with mental ill-health .
  2. Critically analyse the various contemporary interprofessional care options for clients with mental ill-health; implementing and evaluating the most appropriate treatment plan for the individual.
  3. Use research and reflective practice to inform judgements on therapeutic interventions for clients in a variety of healthcare settings.
  4. Assume responsibility and accountability for ethical critical reasoning, problem solving and clinical decision-making in contemporary mental health practice. 
  5. Integrate effective communication strategies for clients and their families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in the context of mental health.
