• What you'll learn

  Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  1. demonstrate coherent theoretical knowledge of the significance and regulation of drugs and alcohol in society, both today and in the past;
  2. examine and explain broader themes and patterns of crime and deviance as revealed through the study of alcohol and illicit drugs;
  3. historicise contemporary debates about alcohol and illicit drugs, with the ability to communicate this effectively to others; and
  4. find, evaluate and use evidence effectively, demonstrating and modelling skills applicable in a professional career.
