About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- recognise the role of communication and creativity in business, and devise and communicate creative solutions to business-related problems;
- employ reflection, self-awareness and emotional intelligence to develop a professional identity;
- manage individual and collaborative work processes; and
- recognise, analyse, and respond appropriately to a range of ethical, cultural and social issues.
- Topics will be available to enrolled students in the subjects Learning Management System site approximately one week prior to the commencement of the teaching period.
Businesses rely on people working together to achieve a common goal. This practical subject will equip you with the skills to interact individually, and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders in professional situations. Studying this subject you will hone your communication skills. You will explore the role of communication, creativity and professional identity in business, and apply this knowledge to business problems. This subject will help you to lay the foundations for developing your own professional identity as a confident, capable and reliable businessperson, ready to respond to opportunities and challenges in the workplace.
Online Activities: Online formative activities over the course of the unit. 2000 words. Relates to Learning Outcomes (LOs) 1-4;
Written Task: The written task may assess a variety of skills taught in the unit. 1500 words. Relates to Learning Outcomes (LOs) 1-4;
