About this subject
On successful completion of this subject you should be able to:

- describe the modelling of climate change scenarios and to assess the potential impacts of climate change on ecosystems and human society.

This subject addresses the scientific, technological and policy aspects of global warming. This is a global environmental issue that has potentially major implications for all life on earth, including human society. In recent years the subject of global warming has produced an intense international debate over the scientific basis of the measurements and predictions. The policy responses need to be understood in the context of the science and the controversy.

A passing mark must be achieved in the exam to pass the unit. 1 online quiz will be posted after every 5 lectures. Each quiz has 10 questions that cover the topics and a time limit of 25 minutes to complete. The written assignment is based on the technology application studied under different topics. The project report is based on a feasibility study which shows technical, social, economic and environmental aspects of project development and the way that the project can be executed in remote areas of developing countries.
