About this subject

  • On successful completion of the subject you will be able to:

    1. communicate the importance of the evidence-based practice (EBP) movement in relation to the current and future practice of health professionals.
    2. review and critique a range of peer reviewed literature on a subject related to your area of practice.
    3. compare and contrast the major approaches used in qualitative and quantitative research and discuss the utility of these approaches.
    4. identify, examine and evaluate appropriate research methods for the investigation of particular research questions and their applicability in health research.
    5. establish the ethical implications of, and processes in, undertaking human research including the protection of vulnerable participants in health research.
