About this subject
On successful completion of this unit, a student will be able to:
- Integrate, analyse, synthesize and/or evaluate knowledge and issues to present creative solutions to interdisciplinary problems
- Apply appropriate professional, academic, ethical and sustainability principles and values in learning and research activities.
- Present (pitch) concepts and value propositions effectively to an audience
- Demonstrate the ability to mentor others and evaluate and articulate the principles of leadership in their disciplinary context

This unit aims to facilitate a successful student transition from University life to the next stage of their careers, professional or further research. Through participation in a series of interdisciplinary simulated scenarios and real world challenges, students will further develop and practice different types of transferable skills and apply major discipline concepts in an interdisciplinary context. There will be a focus on the skills of leadership, mentoring, design thinking and entrepreneurship.
Each assessment in ARTX3500 will be Pass/Fail and students must pass all the assessments in order to pass the unit. Students who fail a task will be given the opportunity to correct their work and re-submit.
