On successful completion you will be able to:
- Critique strategic marketing planning and activities in relation to firm performance and sustainability.
- Exercise professional judgement and evaluate strategic marketing options to implement strategies in diverse marketing contexts.
- Develop and apply ethical, data-driven marketing strategies for different market offerings in diverse market segments.
- Understand and Assess an Organisation's Internal and External Environments to Determine Its Key Resources, Competences, and Capabilities.
- Evaluate and Recommend Appropriate Strategic Directions.
- Analyse Marketing Data and Recommend Relevant Coherent Marketing Strategies.
- Examine Tactical Programs Based on the Data for an Organisation to Achieve Its Stated Strategic Direction.
- Demonstrate an In-depth Level of Marketing Knowledge Through the Development and Presentation of a Coherent Marketing Strategy for an Organisation.
In this capstone marketing subject you will draw on, apply and demonstrate your accumulated marketing knowledge and acumen to solving applied marketing problems through a live strategic marketing simulation. You will review, analyse and apply strategic marketing concepts through the use of marketing theory, and analytical and data tools and frameworks. You will be required to demonstrate a broad and coherent understanding of marketing knowledge and skills along with employability skills in authentic industry-based activities.
- Practice-based activities (equivalent to 1750 words). Students will complete practice-based activities that build and enhance employability skills (40%)
- Reflective practice (equiv. 1000 words) Students will complete regular written journal analyses to reflect on their strategic marketing decision-making that aligns with authentic practice. (20%)
- Presentation (equiv. 1750 words) Students will be required to present a strategic marketing report to their client's CEO and Board of Directors (40%)
