About this subject
On successful completion you will be able to:
- Identify educational and social implications for children with diverse learning needs.
- Describe and identify a variety of ways to accommodate children with diverse learning needs when planning learning activities.
- Implement and plan individual learning programs that utilise best practice teaching strategies and interventions and maximise learning outcomes for children with diverse learning needs, while reflecting non-discriminatory practice.
- Diversity in the Preschool Classroom
- Program Planning for Children with Disabilities
- Evidence-Based Strategies
- Adaptive Learning Experiences
Children may experience a range of learning difficulties that will interfere with learning. In this subject students explore strategies to identify and reduce the impact of learning challenges in early childhood contexts.
- Diagnostic task (400 words) (10%). This assessment task will be undertaken within the first 2 weeks of the term. (10%)
- Individualised Education Plan (1600 words) (40%) (40%)
- Stakeholder report (2000 words) (50%)
