About this subject
On successful completion you will be able to:
- Demonstrate research informed understandings of global perspectives of early childhood curriculum which contribute to children's learning and development.
- Demonstrate an understanding of reflective planning cycles and the role of critical reflection in program evaluation to inform curriculum and pedagogy.
- Design curriculum for an early childhood setting which reflects current perspectives on curriculum design, incorporating the EYLF.

This subject provides a global view of early childhood curriculum theories and pedagogical practices. You will learn to create and critically analyse curriculum using theoretical perspectives to further understand ways in which curriculum is connected to pedagogy, play, learning and assessment.
- Part A: Literature Review Diagnostics task (Approx 200 words) (10%). This assessment task will be undertaken within the first 2 weeks of the term. Part B: Literature Review (Approx 1800 words) (40%) (50%)
- Curriculum Design (Approx. 2000 words). (50%)
