Sustainable Construction Practices in Building and Infrastructure
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- identify and apply the concepts underpinning sustainable development
- critically analyse the impacts that construction has on social, economic and environmental issues
- evaluate strategies that have been developed to enable building and infrastructure construction to achieve sustainable outcomes.

This subject discusses the impact of construction activities on the environment, society and the economy and how sustainable development affects the way the construction industry operates. Students will investigate construction practices in building and infrastructure projects, and develop strategies to address key sustainability issues.
