Professional Practice in Construction
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- analyse the components of technical and scholarly reports
- assess and evaluate a practical problem that is relevant to today’s construction industry
- think critically and synthesise solutions to an identified practical problem.
- Research in relation to practical, real-world issues faced by the construction industry;
- Identification of current issues that need to be addressed/resolved;
- Research methodologies;
- Critically analyse and synthesise issues/problems identified;
- Develop practical solutions to address issues/problems
This subject was previously known as Research in Professional Practice in Construction.
Students will work on practical problems within the construction industry and develop dedicated technical solutions. Students will practise skills through case studies with industry partners.
