About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. apply knowledge about physical, social and intellectual diversity and the use of appropriate resources to plan differentiated teaching experiences
    2. research and analyse information, ways of learning, legislative requirements and teaching strategies related to diverse groups of learners and diverse communities
    3. identify and apply teaching and learning strategies to engage learners from diverse cultural backgrounds inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
    4. identify codes of ethics and conduct and strategies to engage and collaborate with families/carers, paraprofessionals and professional colleagues to support diverse groups of students

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

Core

  • CUR-SEC-MAS-2024 - Master of Teaching (Secondary Education)
  • CUR-PRI-MAS-2024 - Master of Teaching (Primary Education)
  • CUR-EDS-GDI-2024 - Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary Education)

Elective

  • CUR-EDU-GCE-2024 - Graduate Certificate in Education

Additional requirements

  • Other requirements -

    Access to Microsoft Office or a unit approved alternative, access to video creation and editing software.

Study load

0.125 EFTSL
This is in the range of 10 to 12 hours of study each week.
