About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. incorporate theoretical and practical approaches to anticipate, recognise and assess hazards to worker health and manage them in line with best practice
    2. apply scientific methods of investigation to the evaluation of workplace risks in occupational health and safety
    3. analyse critical approaches to the characterisation of exposures through contemporary sampling strategies and methods
    4. develop key elements in programs for managing the health and safety issues in processes which involve the use of hazardous materials
