About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- examine and evaluate an educational issue and identify aspects for further research
- independently plan and investigation into a topic of educational relevance
- select, organise and interpret data
- plan and produce a scholarly work that communicates the research undertaken.

This subject was previously known as Negotiated Research Project.
This subject requires students to either conduct a a research project or research-informed workplace project on an educational issue. The project should demonstrate evidence of scholarly research, critical ability and cogent communication. Students will negotiate the nature and scope of their project with the Unit Coordinator, and work independently with guidance and support to complete their project. The workplace project is expected to have real-world impact on the professional life of the student and/or their professional workplace context.
