About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- create a design proposal that addresses the user experience and healing environments
- evaluate relevant theory in relation to well-being
- incorporate within a design proposition, strategies that will improve environmental qualities, and will be socially, culturally and environmentally sustainable
- effectively and appropriately communicate the complexities of a design proposition.

This subject was previously known as Interior Design Studio - Well Being.
In this design studio students will investigate the complexities of healing environments, and consider how the interior experience can contribute to a sense of well-being and the process of change. Design approaches to services integration, materiality and detailing will be informed by the user experience. Design methodologies and explorations are informed by research, resulting in a well-detailed, resolved spatial outcome. Cultural values and perspectives are explored and incorporated in the design proposal. Design prototyping and testing are to be done through digital fabrication and simulated environments.
