About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. apply the techniques used by construction professionals, including basic rates, to develop project cost estimates
    2. explain and test appropriate techniques to manipulate data in assessing the cost of buildings
    3. evaluate the cost and/or benefit of various building designs and components
    4. project future building costs at the early stage of project development, based on available cost data
