Compensation and Injury Management

About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. analyse the consequences for the individual worker of occupational injury, disease, and ill health
    2. demonstrate a detailed understanding of the modern approach to responsible management of work-related injuries consistent with the applicable legislation, appropriate policies, procedures and organisational processes
    3. recognise the need to consider a broad spectrum of potential employee health and injury factors and the fitness for work obligations and evaluations required within a legislative and ethical framework
    4. design an effective return to work program incorporating the expertise, consultation, monitoring and other obligations of all stakeholders in the injury management process
