We look at the framework of business forces, enabling technology and management potential that underpin information systems. Bridging technology and business needs, you will develop work-ready knowledge of contemporary information systems. Topics include business strategy, intelligence and analytics, networking and cloud computing, database management, information security, digital goods and customer profiling. Focusing on applications for business problems, you are taught how to mine real-life datasets, create data visualisations, explore data management in social media and analyse the ways to deploy cloud computing in Australian businesses.</p>
