The Master of Integrated Water Management creates water leaders by drawing on international teaching and research from many fields to provide a trans-disciplinary, whole-of-water-cycle approach to water management.The program aims to build the capacity of future leaders in water management, with an emphasis on professionals working in WASH and development, urban water management, across water, land and people and in water finance for the achievement of sustainable development goals. The program equips students with practical tools and skills for developing and managing the adoption of innovative solutions to local, regional, national and international water management issues. Students will develop the strategic, managerial and technical skills they need to advance in the water sector.The program is managed and led by the International Water Centre (IWC). The IWC is a key capacity building organisation in the global water sector and dedicated to providing education and training to promote whole-of-water cycle approaches to integrated water management around the world.

Project Management Integrated Project

Wound care and infection prevention is a rapidly growing clinical area leading the way for tissue management, infection control, diagnosis, and assessment of critical issues in wound management.  Technologies such as digital, e-health and app-based sources are being rapidly absorbed into clinical practice. With a growing plethora of advanced wound therapies such as interactive dressings, tissue substitutes, and negative pressure wound therapy there are many tools in the clinician’s armamentarium for wound prevention and management.  This subject will investigate contemporary wound assessment and diagnostic modalities and the role of the digital technologies for wound management. The subject will also investigate the different types of advanced healing therapies, dressings, and devices available for clinical use and critically evaluate the evidence and clinical utility in specific health care settings and regions with a patient centric focus.  Following completion of the subject, students will be able to describe current diagnostic, assessment and clinical management therapies and critically evaluate theories and concepts with respect to the evidence using a patient centric focus.Please Note: All students studying at Murdoch University will need to complete the compulsory unit, Murdoch Academic Passport (MAP100), which only takes 2-3 hours to complete online. Contemporary Wound Management Therapies

In this subject students will engage with Operations Management definitions and their contribution to supply and value chains. Key concepts and tools that students will identify include supply chain drivers and components, value management, capacity planning and scheduling, process management and manufacturing quality. This subject was previously known as URP660 Project Management Overview.This subject provides an overview of the concepts of projects, project management and project success. This subject will provide an overview of local and international, historical and philosophical perspectives that have influenced contemporary Australian early childhood education and care contexts. Their impact on early childhood education and care and its leadership and management will be critically examined. The subject affords the opportunity to explore and critique policy and procedure development in the light of current legislative and accountability requirements. Philosophy, Management and Leadership in Early Childhood Education and Care

The subject will provide an overview of the concepts and principles of sustainable waste management. A critical approach to theories, techniques and methods of sustainable waste and resource management will be introduced in the course to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding on waste management. The subject will cover the subject areas of perceptions of waste, classification and characterization of waste, waste audit, 3R principles, waste collection, transportation, treatment technologies and safe disposal, performance evaluation, and strategy and policy regulation. This subject introduces you to the concepts, applications and practice of management. You will be introduced to the fundamentals of management that are vital for the successful operation of any business. You will be exposed to a widely accepted body of knowledge, introducing you to contemporary issues in the practice of management. From various journals and publications the opinions and experiences of both practitioners and academics will be emphasised.The subject is designed to be suitable for students at different stages in their careers and at different levels in the organisation. If you are new to a management or supervisory position this subject will provide you with grounding in management. If you are already employed in a management position, you may acquire some new ideas, refresh your memory or even affirm that you are doing things correctly. At present, you may not be employed in a management or supervisory position. In that case, consider the subject as advanced preparation for a period when you may be assigned a managerial or supervisory position.The specific content of the subject has been designed to be sufficiently broad and comprehensive to prepare you for a range of different business settings. You will notice that the subject has been named Management, not specifically Maritime Management. The principles and practice of management are applied across all industries. To make the material as relevant as possible you will be asked to use your organisation as a focus to answer activities and questions.

This subject allows students to develop the methodological framework and tools by which to undertake a translational research project addressing a contemporary healthcare management issue. Students will conceptualise and prepare their project applying the values and principles of research integrity, considering risk, benefit and consent issues. Students will gain the skills to appraise the application and matching of methods to research questions.
