Bachelor of Community Services

The Bachelor of Counselling course meets the challenge of developing counsellors with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of a rapidly changing workforce and diverse client groups. Graduates need to be able to find and analyze content from secondary source material, apply their knowledge in a range of contexts, operate effectively in an allied health professional environment, and have the capacity to productively engage with people.Students will also develop skills in conflict management, case management, social justice, report writing and counselling micro skills.The program is designed to enable students to develop specific knowledge and skills, including individual and group counselling and conflict management, to work therapeutically with a range of client groups. Two industry placements provide the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practice skills.This course is currently seeking accreditation by peak body.

Take advantage of more than 40 years of counselling experience with this flexible degree. You’ll apply theory to around 400 hours of work placement. On graduation, you'll qualify for membership with the Australian Counselling Association.

Bachelor of Counselling

The Bachelor of Psychological Science is designed to equip you with a broad theoretical base in psychology and introduce you to the application of the skills, tools and techniques of the discipline. This Psychological Science degree is your first step towards becoming a professional psychologist.During this course, you will gain a foundation of psychological knowledge and the ability to analyse, critique and apply this knowledge in a culturally appropriate manner.
