Andi Saunders

Andi Saunders is proof that you can achieve big things by studying through Open Universities Australia. After gaining her Bachelor of Business with Monash University many years ago, she was thrilled to return to us as our Head of People Experience in 2021.

Andi believes the most effective way to build a customer-obsessed culture is to ensure your organisation treats its employees as well as it treats its customers. That’s why she is passionate about listening, building motivation through a shared purpose, and encouraging people to pursue their interests through an autonomous work environment.

Andi brings over 20 years of people management and human resources experience to her role at Open Universities Australia. Most recently, she served as Head of HR & Product Owner of People Experience at Aware Super, Executive Manager of People Experience at VicSuper, and Head of HR at Boston Consulting Group, Australia.

With these roles behind her, Andi demonstrates a deep understanding of people and culture. She is an expert on people experience, organisational design, talent acquisition, engagement and culture, talent management, employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and reward and recognition.

And like many of our students, Andi remains a lifelong learner. She is a certified Executive Coach and Emotional Intelligence Facilitator, and accredited in the use of several psychometric tools. She is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, which will only increase her impact as our people experience leader.
