About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Identify and explain the protocols, conventions and Acts of Parliament that underpin the development of cultural heritage tourism products.
    2. Synthesise the current and future challenges for cultural heritage managers in a tourism context.
    3. Critically evaluate options for managing cultural heritage experiences in a sensitive and ethical manner.
    4. Effectively communicate the challenges of tourism growth in a chosen heritage site.

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

  • TAS-SCM-GDI-2024 - Graduate Diploma of Strategic Communication

Additional requirements

  • Attendance requirements - Students are required to attend a field trip, dates: 8-11 April 2024. The session is in an intensive block mode, over 4 days. Attendance is compulsory. Following the intensive block teaching, you will still be able to get assignment support, and will submit your assignments later in the semester.

Study load
