About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- critically analyse and evaluate modernist, post-modernist and contemporary theories around world cities using a range of methodologies
- propose urban interventions using principles and theories of urban design and evidence-based judgement
- develop research methodologies surrounding a site and apply to urban design principles and practice.

This subject is an examination of cities and townscapes in their chronological and historical contexts. It explores modernist, post-modernist and contemporary theories related to urbanism and the city through topical urban issues.

Level 3 subjects normally assume an intermediate level of prior knowledge in this area. Ensure all Level 2 subjects have been completed.
Pre Requisite: Successful completion of 200 credit points.
