About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. establish critical and reflective practices appropriate to the HASS learning area based on local, national and international research
    2. apply discipline knowledge, principles and concepts to deliver, plan, assess and evaluate challenging and authentic HASS learning experiences in accordance with the principles and content in the Australian Curriculum
    3. develop differentiated HASS teaching and learning experiences that support and challenge all students
    4. appraise a range of resources and make appropriate, safe and ethical selections to inform HASS learning experiences and environments
    5. research local First Peoples histories, cultures and languages and identify meaningful ways to teach these in the HASS learning area

  • CUR-PRI-MAS-2025 - Master of Teaching (Primary Education)

Elective

  • CUR-EDU-GCE-2025 - Graduate Certificate in Education

Additional requirements

  • Other requirements -

    Access to Microsoft Office or a unit approved alternative, access to video creation and editing software.

Study load

0.125 EFTSL
