Architecture Methods 2A - Digital Fabrication
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- investigate, manipulate and test 3D design concepts using 3D software and digital fabrication tools
- use digital fabrication techniques to test, refine and construct partial details of a concept at 1:1 scale
- demonstrate proficiency in the application of digital modelling to communicate ideas and produce physical outputs
- Physical Modelling
- Digital Modelling
- Advanced Photoshop and digital collage techniques
This subject was previously known as Architecture Methods 3.
This subject informs the architectural design processes and investigates the relationships and translations between digital and physical modelling, drawings and their application in design. 3D Software for modelling and fabrication are employed for prototyping and representation of architectural materials and space.
