Designed in collaboration with industry to provide you with the knowledge required to get started in the ICT sector, this course will equip you with foundational knowledge in topics such as computer hardware and software, networking and programming, website development and cloud computing. You will have gained a thorough introduction to IT professional practice.
The curriculum of this course is structured to align with the guidelines of the Australian Computer Society, the peak body for the ICT industry.

Recommended study pattern
The course structure comprises of 8 Information Technology (IT) core subjects over levels 100 and 200, as follows:
- Level 100: 7 mandatory IT core subjects
- Level 200: 1 mandatory IT core subjects.
No elective subject is offered.
Award requirements
To be awarded the Diploma of Information Technology, students must complete 80 credit points over 8 subjects as outlined in the course structure above. Each subject has a value of 10 credit points.
